Our elite reputation has been celebrated by the Destination Wedding Planner Congress, Amour Love Travel Awards, Wezoree, and Wedvibes.
Years of experience has taught us how to select the very best suppliers and friends, helping to make the wedding styling and planning process seamless, unique and all importantly stress-free!
Wonderfully Matthew Oliver Weddings is over 14 years old! Starting from humble beginnings as a wedding planner in Cyprus, Matthew dreamed up his idea of a destination wedding planner service on the back of a napkin and brought it to life!
Envisioning a planning journey for couples based on joy and friendship, creating insane events full of life and elegance, unlike anything seen before.
Over the years we have worked with the most incredible couples, creating unparalleled events of quality and distinction, in some of the most prestigious venues around the world. This is Matthew Oliver Weddings and we love what we do!

The strength of the Matthew Oliver team is their relationships, which when it comes to weddings, is one of the most important qualities for a wedding planner. Because of their close ties with everyone in the industry, we were able to pull off an incredible destination wedding with ease and in budget.
Georgia was professional, kind and patient through the many, many renditions of our wedding. Not only did she save the day, in the end she planned something that felt so intimate, personal and perfect for us.
On the weekend of the wedding Georgia and her team (Bertie and Danny) were everywhere at once, they ensured the whole weekend ran exactly to plan.
While you expect luxury wedding planners like Matthew Oliver Weddings to be professional, detail-oriented, creative, and excellent problem-solvers, what truly stood out was how much joy and warmth they brought to the process.
Planning a cross-continent, multicultural 4 day destination wedding in under six months could easily have been stressful, but they made it a fun and manageable project.
We could not be more complimentary of their work and in particular Georgia's awe inspiring balance of charisma, organisational skills, work ethic and foresight beyond her years. In hindsight, Georgia's carriage of our wedding was priceless. We could not recommend Georgia and the team more highly!
Every idea, no matter how unusual, was embraced with love and transformed into something even more magical than we could have ever imagined. They didn’t just organize a wedding – they created memories that will stay in our hearts forever. Their attention to detail was extraordinary, their organization flawless, and their presence a constant source of calm and joy.
I cannot recommend Georgia enough - As the mother-of-the-bride, she managed both the couple's expectations and mine flawlessly, which is no easy feat! From the site selection, the venue scout and tasting, the invitations, RSVPs, and the website to the exceptional execution of the entire wedding weekend, Georgia and the MO team are truly the best in the business.
A destination wedding is one you host somewhere other than where you live, usually with guests travelling to join you and the celebration spread across several days rather than crammed into one. It’s usually in another country, but could also be in a different part of your home country that you haven’t explored. We've planned them in Rome, Istanbul, the Amalfi Coast, Oman and California; check out our portfolio for more examples.
We handle everything that turns a place you love into a wedding that works: finding the venue, building the budget, hiring and managing every supplier, running the logistics, and being on the ground for the whole weekend so you don't have to think about a single thing.
We've learned that the job is roughly 40% design, 40% logistics, and 20% quietly solving problems you'll never hear about.
We define ourselves as luxury wedding planners. A luxury wedding planner is one who works at the level where nothing is off the shelf: bespoke design, hand-picked suppliers, and enough experience to make the ambitious idea actually happen rather than talking you out of it.
We've been featured in Vogue, Brides and People, and we've put a ceremony in the Vatican and a dance floor in the middle of dinner in Rome because a couple from Jordan wanted their guests to party through the meal. Luxury isn't the price tag. It's about access, exclusivity and understanding of how to make ambitious ideas a reality.
Twelve to eighteen months is the sweet spot, and earlier if you're set on a specific venue in peak season, because the good ones in Italy and Greece go fast.
That said, we planned a cross-continent, multicultural four-day wedding in under six months and the couple described it as "fun and manageable", so if you're on a tighter timeline, ask anyway. We like a challenge more than we like an easy year.
Yes. Europe is where we spend most of our time, but we've planned weddings in Oman, California, New York, Istanbul, the Bahamas, Morocco, and the UAE. Matthew started his career planning weddings in Cyprus and has been travelling for work ever since, largely because he never really stopped wanting to.
YES! We absolutely love planning weddings for couples travelling in from abroad who want an authentic British experience. We've planned weddings for couples from countries including the USA, Singapore and UAE at Blenheim Palace, Heckfield Place, Kew Gardens and across the Cotswolds, Scotland, Surrey and the South West.
Our team have a wider network of preferred venues and suppliers in London and across more rural areas for the quintessential country house experience. We also have a soft-spot for a historic castle wedding across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland!
It depends what you want the weekend to feel like. For romance and drama, Italy is unbeatable, and we've worked across the Amalfi Coast, in Rome, Tuscany, Venice, Lake Como and Puglia.
For lakes and mountains, Switzerland and Austria. For heat and a party, Ibiza, Mallorca and the Greek islands such as Santorini and Mykonos. For something further afield, Oman, Mauritius or the Caribbean. Our honest advice: pick the place that means something to you, then let us worry about whether it's practical.
