Happy Friday all! That is unless you are in the UAE… then happy mid-weekend!
Spring is starting to touch our little life in Bradford on Avon and I imagine we’re not alone… as the sun decides to make more of an appearance and natural beauty literally starts blossoming all around, perhaps you are thinking about making a huge gesture with a little ring? If that is indeed so, then look no further! Today we have the lovely Olivia from LIV, an engagement ring specialist who knows all too well about the occasional struggle behind finding a ring and ensuring it fits! And so without further ado, I shall let Olivia give us her pearls of wisdom on the matter…
How is everyone’s bank holiday Monday going? A chilled out end to a pretty epic weekend I hope! Me? I’m sat in our cosy little office in Bradford on Avon, watching the weather through the window trying to decide what season it is, and doing one of my favourite things, writing! What with all the planning of amazing weddings and whatnot, I don’t get to sit down and write as much as I would like. So I thought ‘hey’, with the sun shining through the falling rain, I would take my bank holiday Monday and write to you all about a little photoshoot Matthew, Winston and I did a couple of months back, with the wonderful Julie Michaelsen.
We love planning destination weddings and we know there is a lot that goes into making it unique for you and your partner. Although you are planning an international wedding and there are a lot of similarities to planning a wedding in your home country, there are also some significant differences that you need to bear in mind. Here at Matthew Oliver we have therefore put together an infographic to remind you of all the questions you should be asking, to make sure you really get the wedding you always wanted!
I’m Ceri which is pronounced as Kerri. I was born and raised in Barbados and sadly never appreciated the beautiful beaches and lovely sunny weather until moving to UK just over a year ago. At the moment I am still adapting to British culture and learning new things each week with the help of my fabulous uni friends. Today is my first day in the office and of course I woke up excited and nervous. I was greeted in Bradford-on-Avon by a breathtaking view while crossing the bridge on my short walk to the office and then the wonderful Winston as soon as I came through the door. I couldn’t have asked for a better welcome than snuggles, rubs and licks.
Hello my lovely, lovely people how are we all?
Last week I was on BBC Radio Wiltshire talking about how weddings have changed over the years and how difficult it is for not just the bride and groom, but also the parents and older generation because traditions have changed.
Weddings have evolved so it’s understandably confusing for the older generations when the order of the wedding is changed around or something surprising happens.
Listen to what I had to say on the player below when talking with presenter Simeon Courtie…
I hope everyone has had a super chocolatey fueled Easter!
Here at MO we had some amazing friends come to visit, including a lovely couple who are engaged (congrats again btw!). Being around them, with the bride-to-be showing photos to us all (just out of her fiances eye-shot) got me thinking, why do brides get to surprise the groom with a stunning dress and some of that mystery isn’t reserved for the grooms suit??
It’s 9 day’s to CHRISTMAS aaaagggghhhh! Seriosuly I’m more excited this year than any other year; it seems the older I get the more excited I get about the whole thing. Though I’m no way near ready and only have 3 days to be as we’re starting the Christmas Holiday’s this Friday!
Anyway, enough about my drama how are you? How is the planning going (not sure how many times I’ve asked that recently, and not got a reply! Rejection!).
Today’s post is covering groom’s attire. A couple of months ago there were posts entitled ‘Dressing our Beautiful Grooms‘ and ‘Dressing the Groom pt 2‘, but there is more to a man’s wedding attire than the suit.
Hello my little moers, how are you?
So today is a just a brief post shedding some light into choosing the perfect wedding ring.
Whether you’re choosing a diamond encrusted wedding band or an engagement ring, there really is a lot to consider. Believe it or not, there is so much to take into account when it comes to selecting the one; from the four Cs to finding the perfect ring to match your bride’s personality, it’s hard to know where to start.
Haha ( well I don’t think I’ve ever started a post with that before). I’m just laughing at the title, do people understand that? I know when it comes to listening and talking to me, it takes someone that has known me for a long time to understand my jibber jabber; now it’s coming out in my writing!! So let’s hope you understand the rest of this post.
