Matthew Oliver Loves – Tawny Phillips
Afternoon amazing people, how are you all today?
I’m a lot happier as I got my coffee this morning; it was weird yesterday I think I was in a complete dozy world (well I am anyway, but yesterday more than others). Though I’m not impressed because none of you sent me that coffee I was after??
There I go again, rambling on :-/.
Today’s Matthew Oliver Loves is giving something to the gay and lesbian wedding community as it’s about time we focus on change and commit to g&l weddings (if that’s the right word). I feature Tawny Phillips a bespoke, alternative, fabulous ring designer who specialises in creating wedding rings/bands and jewellery for gay and lesbian couples across the world.
There is not a lot of focus on gay and lesbian wedding suppliers, but I love how Tawny is showcasing this on her site by titling one of her services ‘Gay Wedding Rings’. Us gay’s (as I am and can use that line) are very fussy when looking for services, so it’s great that Tawny is one of those suppliers that is happy to specialise in this market.
As you all know the gay and lesbian wedding industry is going to kick off soon, with millions of couples creating lavish events and putting the traditional weddings to shame!! Meow you’re thinking, but it’s time for us to shine.
Anyway, I’m sure you want to see this fabulous lady and why I love her so, so much.
Tawny specialises in making matching or themed rings for gay couples and with same sex marriages now made law will concentrate on offering gay couples the most unique and personalised designs anywhere. Most of the designs shown in the bespoke gallery on her website can be customised or altered to suit clients’ requirements. All the rings shown are handmade and can be created in Sterling Silver, Yellow Gold, Palladium, White or Rose Gold or Platinum. If diamond rings are your thing, most of the designs can accommodate a smattering of white or black diamonds or any other precious gemstones you may require. All the collections and bespoke jewellery produced by Tawny is made in Great Britain. Some of the processes involve expert tradesmen in Hatton Garden, London and the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter and all the designs are made to the highest possible standard and hand-finished in the London studio using UK hallmarked precious metals and conflict-free diamonds. A personal service is offered whereby clients can commission Tawny to realise their own ideas and designs for their perfect wedding or commitment rings. Any inspirations can be used as a starting point with the emphasis on realising the client’s wishes within their budget. Interpreting ideas into finished designs in this way is a hugely enjoyable and personal creative process with the clients usually fully involved in every aspect. If you have ideas you would like to discuss regarding your ring designs please call the studio to book an appointment.
Tawny has been creating contemporary jewellery for retail since 2005 and has designed exclusive men’s and women’s jewellery collections for Donna Karan, Paul Smith, Harrods and Lane Crawford as well as many bespoke pieces for private clients. Based in a studio close to Borough Market, all collections and bespoke work are produced here, with clients welcome to book appointments to either purchase directly from the maker or informally discuss bespoke commissions.
Next spring Tawny will concentrate on creating a collection of contemporary engagement rings featuring coloured precious stones so do visit the website regularly to see new designs or sign up for the newsletter so that a blog featuring new designs will keep you updated regularly.
And here my lovelies you will see how truly remarkable Tawny is with a collection of her beautiful products…
I can honestly speak for everyone here and say wow, what beautiful products you have; you being Tawny of course.
I will 100% be purchasing wedding rings from Tawny, when my special man marries me (whenever that will be!!)
Thank you for popping by everyone and for more information please visit Tawny’s website here.
Love you all.
Matthew Oliver xx
