MO Loves – Robyn Coles Millinery
Afternoon everyone! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and didn’t get up to much mischief? I know what you’re all like!
This week’s MO Loves is about an innovative, unique and cool milliner, from South Wales!
I’m extremely honoured to feature Robyn Coles this week as her work is extremely beautiful, inventive and she is an up and coming star.
I’m also excited for future collaborations together, so stay tuned to see what we’re up too.
Enough of my rambling, here is why I love Robyn Coles, an absolutely fabulous Milliner.
Robyn Coles had a previous incarnation as a buyer/merchandiser for Armani, Liberty and Browns before retraining as a milliner and setting up her own label.
Based in South Wales but with global reach and presence her designs exude quirky simplicity and cater for the modern, brave woman who loves fashion but isn’t ruled by trend.
She believes that a big statement can be made with strong architectural shape and minimal detail. Also running a bespoke atelier she seldom gets requests for fussy pieces, her clients often prefer bold, clean designs.
She also undertakes a lot of bridal work, often making for the whole bridal party, veils, birdcage pieces, bridesmaids and mother.
Famed for making her off-schedule London Fashion Week debut with naked models her priority is to make the hat the focus of an outfit – nothing else matters.
Here are some of her seasonal pieces.
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I have? Isn’t her work simply astonishing?
